JAG Capital Management traces its roots to 1945, when Joseph Aloysius Glynn co-founded Blewer, Heitner & Glynn in St. Louis with a mission to serve clients with integrity and long-term discipline.
One of the firm’s earliest relationships — One of the firm’s earliest relationships – a large Women’s Religious Institution — helped shape its enduring focus on institutions with multi-generational missions. By the early 1960s, the firm became known as J.A. Glynn & Co., building a reputation for sound research and prudent investing across market cycles.
In 1988, Daniel J. Ferry, Jr. acquired the firm and guided it through a period of modernization and growth, later relocating headquarters to the Clayton corridor to position for expansion.
Norm B. Conley III joined in 1999 and became CEO in 2008, continuing the legacy of disciplined, client-aligned investing. Today, under the JAG Capital Management brand, the firm celebrates 80 years of independence, stewardship, and partnership — helping clients move Forward. Together.
